I would like to say a quick welcome to all CAPS Connection readers.

Several opportunities are in the works pertaining to CAPS from renewals to opportunities with other vocations.  I encourage all CAPS professionals to make sure you renew your CAPS designation every year.  I know the quickest way to double your money in this market is to fold it in half and stick it back in your pocket, but your CAPS certification can’t help you increase your possibilities without renewing it.  While polishing your pants on saddle leather don’t make you a cowboy, attending CAPS courses with other remodelers, and other professionals will go a long way in providing a working knowledge in accessible housing.

Through networking with other CAPS professionals you can obtain valuable knowledge from working with Occupational Therapists on practical applications to the Department of Veterans Affairs' Specially Adapted Housing program, which helps to fund accessible remodels for veterans.

Finally, remember to live a good, honorable life, helping others along the way.  Then when you get older and think back, you can enjoy it a second time.

God’s Blessings to All,

Donny Mack, CGR, CAPS, GMB
